Whistle-Blower on Student Aid Is Vindicated

Apparently the $85 billion student loan industry is ripping off the government, as well as students. An issue that has been largely resolved through sending a letter to the lending companies, but it seems the Dept. of Education won’t be fighting to get those millions of dollars back in ineligible subsidies that lending companies received. Pity, since that money could be used to increase Pell Grants and other need-based aid so that young people could have access to education rather than enlisting in the military in hopes of being able to take advantage of college funding that few ever actually see.
